CarlWood Lumber exports BC softwood lumber and hardwood lumber to countries around the world. Our primary export clients are in the United States, Japan, China, India, Mexico, Germany and Scandinavia. We are actively working with clients in other countries and would be pleased to speak to you about your needs.

CarlWood is a manufacturer, with our own plant in Maple Ridge, BC which includes dry kilns and associated equipment for the further processing of lumber, but we also work with other mills and remanufacturers to bring their products to market. The experienced staff at CarlWood lumber can source the difficult to find lumber for your specialty product. If we can’t source what you require we can often suggest a colleague that can assist with the supply. Please contact us.

Our typical orders are from one package of lumber up to multiple trucks of lumber. We are not a retail lumber yard. In the Vancouver area (Fraser Valley) we sell to distributors that service the furniture and doors/window companies locally. We do not have a showroom. Typically a minimum order is 500 FBM. Niche products and custom sizes are our specialty. However, most of our products are Rough or sized (S2S) lumber and we rarely make any “finished products”. For example, we do not make paneling or mouldings. These products are supplied by our customers/distributors. An exception to this is Timber Products where we do make custom sized products for Industrial use. Please visit our sister website at www.industrialtimberproducts.com to see some of our products.

We only manufacture and sell species from BC, Canada. Only Red Alder, Pacific Coast Maple, Western White Birch are commercially viable species. Trembling Aspen and Black Cottonwood also grow in BC but are currently not available in large quantities.

Shipping and receiving is between 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Please contact us at 604 462 7517 to advise when you will arrive for pick up or delivery.

We ship directly from our facility in Maple Ridge, BC using flat trucks and vans. We also load containers directly at our facility and deliver them to the Vancouver dock. Prices of our products are quoted FOB CarlWood. To deliver to our customers we use a variety of carriers to ensure good value.
